I am not Fiona Locke

LOL, I got an email from a reader asking was I Fiona Locke?! Flattered as I am, I certainly don't write that well nor would I have the discipline to write an entire novel, let alone two. (For those of you who don't know who I'm talking about she's a writer of erotic fiction, most notably Over the Knee, which is the hottest book I've ever read).

Anyway after I stopped laughing I got to thinking, who is Fiona Locke? I've figured for a long time that it's probably a nome de plume. And have even got to thinking it might be someone in the scene that I know, who's probably laughing as they read this post.

Of course I might be totally wrong about it being a scene person. Maybe she's actually JK Rowling. There is that Scottish connection in the first book and she did come up with Snape after all...

But anyway just to be clear: I am not Fiona Locke!

Rofl, no offence, but I didn't peg you as Fiona Locke. I've always wondered whether that whole "first person to be photographed for their own cover" thing is a bit of a ruse and doesn't actually refer to the woman? Maybe it's actually the man? Maybe "Fiona" is a male writer? Not exactly unknown. So my theory is that it's a guy, maybe one we do know, so I'm plumping for the distinguished (?!) Abel Jenkins. Thoughts?

LOL JK Rowling is a good one. You and I had this conversation not too long ago!

No, Eliane, it's not me - although quite a few of the scenes in Fiona's book are very much to my taste!

I'd never have time to write a full book - goodness, it's taken me 6+ months to *not* finish the anthology of my stories, and that's just the editing and proofreading...

Damn, well I'll have to think again.
Though on that subject, when IS that anthology going to be finished?!

@Eliane, yes it could be a man, hadn't thought of it that way before!

@Abel, to your tastes huh? mmmm interesting.

You've thrown your hook out and your fishing, aren't you? Now be a good girl and let us know if you get a bite.

I'm Scottish, therefore *I'm* Fiona Locke!

Abel: you should get yourself a good proofreader to sort out that anthology! Now that I don't get to terrify Littlenic every week with grammatical arguments, I'm out of a job ;-)

V much tickled me, reading this!

@LucyMcLean, hmmmm, you are one of those acknowledged in the book, it oculd certianly be you!

@Martha, or is it you? Writer that you are.

I'm getting more and more curious about all this!!

That's an excellent question! I think that as fellow writers and spankos, we have a right to know who this Fiona Locke is!

Pfff... maybe Fiona doesn't want anyone to know who she is. Can't we just leave it at that?

Emma Jane: This mutual reader of ours also emailed me with the question if I know who Fiona Locke is, and suggesting that, if it isn't you, maybe it's me.

Needless to say, I am not Fiona Locke. My English is pretty good, but you can tell that it is a second language. Whoever Fiona is, she is definitely a native speaker.

I have my own theories about who Fiona is / isn't, as do my readers. If you are one of the more enthusiastic cyber-detectives out there who really want to unlocke this mystery (pardon the pun!), you should take a look at this discussion as well:

Who in the World is Fiona Locke?
